These are layouts that I did some time ago....before blog!! Today I was thinking it would be fun to share some layouts with hearts! After all its almost Valentine's Day!
I just finished up another couple of cards. I've been in a card making mood the past few days. I've been thinking about trying to sell some of these in my etsy shop. I think all of the cards that I had in my shop have expired and my shop is empty!! I guess I should go check it out...hehehe!

I was able to complete two more cards today. One birthday and one for some friends who just got married. I thought I was going to be home all alone today making cards, but Michael, Sally and the kids stopped by for a visit and after they left......Steve, Lisa and the kids came over and made dinner for me!! Lisa made sloppy-joes and they were so, so good! We also got in a game of cards.....I WON!!

I got up this morning and decided I would make cards for my friends and family that have birthdays in February. Gee.......I usually wait until the day of the birthday and run around trying to get a card made and in the mail to the birthday person. And they always receive it late. This year I have pledged to myself to get cards made ahead of time. So far, so good!! But, its still January!!! So.....here's my first card for February!
This is another layout for Jake & Nga's San Diego album. I guess this place has fantastic burgers!! They look a little too big to me!
I did these layouts some time ago. I just love doing layouts of Lisa's doggie!

I just returned from an awesome stay up at Lake Tahoe for 3 days. Steve and Lisa rented a huge house and invited the whole family to join them. We had a fabulous time! The snow was gorgeous. The kids had a blast skiing and snowboarding at Homewood. There were 16 of us, so we did a lot of cooking, but we all took turns in the kitchen and everyone helped with clean up! We played a lot of cards, which is always a favorite of mine. The babies, Dominick and Mia were great! We couldn't have asked for better kidlets. When we arrived at the house I got really concerned about the stairs, as the main living space was upstairs, I kind of freaked about Mia falling.....but, I spied the coffee table, so we flipped it on its side and placed it in front of the stair well and it worked perfect!! The adults and big kids could just step over it and Mia was blocked in!! And so therefore gramma could relax!! I did keep my eye on it very closely, just in case!!! I will post a slideshow in the next few days, but for now, here are a few pic's!
This is the ATC (artist trading card) that I made for the girls in my critique group. We are doing a Valentine Swap. We could make cards, tags, ATC's, or bookmarks. I just love making ATC's.
I made this tag for all the members of my critique group over at sb.com last year. (I didn't have a blog last year, so I'm sharing them now...hehehe) I attached a magnet to the back of each one. Mine is still hanging on my fridge! This year I'm making ATC's for all the girls who are participating in the swap. I started them last night and so far I really like 'em!!
I've been in a card making mood once again. I just love this Urban Prairie line of paper by Basic Grey. I guess you can see that I've been using it a lot these past few days! I'm trying to get a bunch of cards made for family and friends. I'm so bad about waiting until the last minute to make a card. Maybe I can get ahead of the game. It would be really nice to have cards on hand when I need one.
I made these cards yesterday using the Urban Prairie line of paper from Basic Grey. I love this collection.

I had all my buttons stored in a box, they were all mixed up and I could never find just the right button for a project without spending an hour going through all of them!! I knew that had to change. So.....I started saving these pasta sauce jars (Classico) and jazzed them up for my button collection. Its so easy to find the color I want to use now. Plus I had fun making these. And they look so pretty and colorful displayed on my shelf. They put a smile on my face!!! I have to thank my cousin Rhonda for sending me so many of these buttons. She collects them for me! It's always fun finding a box of buttons in my mailbox!! Thanks sweetie for taking the time to do this for me! Love ya!
I don't know where 2008 went, but it's gone and we are moving on to "2009"! I will say that 2008 was a wonderful year for our family. Two new grandkidlets were welcomed into our family in less than a year. Mia was born in December 2007 and Dominick in September 2008. I'm sure 2009 will be just as wonderful! How much fun will I have watching my grandkidlets grow up! And just think of all of the scrapping that I will be doing!!! I'm wishing everyone a great scrapping year! I'm off to create.......Karen Lee
I started this canvas on Sunday and just finished it up earlier today. I so love this picture of Dominick. I got the inspiration for this canvas from my friend Toni (2 dogs) from sb.com. She created a fabulous layout named "Snow Day" and when I saw it, I just knew I had to lift it! She is a fantastic artist, thanks Toni for always inspiring me!
Happy Sunday!! I got up early this morning and finished this canvas that I started yesterday. I had so much fun making it. This is a 9 x 12 canvas that I bought at Michael's. I painted the background using 3 different colors. Then I adhered the circle paper using Royal Coat. Yes, I got bubbles (those darned things) but after it dried I used a small pin and poked holes in the air bubbles and they flattened out!! I got this tip over at my favorite place sb.com!!! It worked great, there were only a couple of small places that didn't flatten out. I was a happy camper!! Then I got out my rub-ons and went to town!! I just had fun with this one! I've got a wall in my scrap studio that will be displaying all my canvas'. I can't wait to start hanging them. I want to get a few more done before I do that. I'm off to play some more. And the rub-ons are all from Fancy Pants!!
I am having the most wonderful Saturday!! I'm doggie sitting Boo-Bear, while Lisa, Steve and the kids are gone for the weekend. He likes visiting his gramma....hehehe!!
I've just been playing around in my scrap studio, doing a little organizing, and I also made 3 simple birthday cards. I've been paying so much extra postage on some of the cards that I have been making, I thought I'd keep these 3 very simple and pay normal postage for a change. I went through my scraps and made up these cards very fast.
Now I'm going to start on a canvas that I have been wanting to do for some time. With Christmas behind me, I now have time for creating....other than cards for a change!!
