"Don't Bug Me, I'm Scrapping"

Day 30 at 365 Cards was to create a card using a "Ladybug". My friend Janet from work made me this ladybug magnet for Valentine's Day. I knew when I saw it that it wouldn't hang on my fridge very long. I just knew it would work into a card one day!! I was able to use all scraps on this card.

Super Sketchy Sunday at 365 Cards and This weeks challenge at 2 Red Bananas

Day 29 at 365 Cards was to use this sketch by Pamela. I thought I knew exactly the way I was going to go with this card, and then I sat down to cut some circles with my Cricut and zoned in on a heart! So my brain started working and this is what I came up with!! I guess you can say hearts are just differently shaped circles!!! Well.....in my mind anyway....hehehe!! And 2 Red Banana's weekly challenge of using gems!

Touchy Feely Friday at 365 Cards!

Day 27 at 365 Cards was to use at least 3 different TEXTURES!!! That I did!! I placed the K&Company duck embellishment on a piece of torn and inked paper, added lace, pearls, bling, and a flower. There is even glitter on the embellishment. And once again I didn't add a sentiment, as this card can be used for so many occasions.

Day 25 at 365 Cards - Ad Inspired

Day 25 at 365 Cards was to make a card inspired by an ad. You can see the ad by going to the blog site of 365 Cards. Here's the link.

I took my card in a little different way than the ad. I took pink cardstock and used a foam paint dauber to add green dots and then did the same on green cardstock and added pink paint dots. I did add the black as the ad did for punch. I also splatter stamped the entire card. I thought this would make a cute Easter card. I don't usually add sentiments to my cards, so that way I am able to use them for many purposes. I can always add a Happy Birthday or Happy Easter, etc if I chose to later.

supplies:

pink, green and black AC cardstock
Ceramcoat paint
Studio G black ink
Poetic Prints stamp

Sing Along Saturday at 365 Cards

Day 21 at 365 Cards is to make a card inspired by the song "Lean On Me".

Excerpt from Lean on Me, by Bill Withers:

Sometimes in our lives we all have pain
We all have sorrow
But if we are wise
We know that there's always tomorrow
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
Please swallow your pride
If I have things you need to borrow
For no one can fill those of your needs
That you don't let show
Lean on me, when you're not strong
And I'll be your friend
I'll help you carry on
For it won't be long
'Til I'm gonna need
Somebody to lean on
If there is a load you have to bear
That you can't carry
I'm right up the road
I'll share your load
If you just call me

I found this image and just thought it said "I'LL BE YOUR FRIEND".

Duck Card

I was on a roll today with card making!! This is the last one for today! Off to watch a movie with Jake. Oh.....this one isn't my fav. I don't even think I like it......hehehe!!!!

Bunny Card

WOW!! Two cards in one day! I'm having fun with these images that I found. I think this bunny is just two cute! Played around with my border punches again on this one. I'm keeping these really simple. The postage that some of my cards require is killing me!! All my cards lately have been 5 1/4 x 5 1/4. I found a great site for ordering envelopes, so I bought 200. I guess I will be making this size card for some time!!!

Easter Card

I found this cute bunny image yesterday and just knew I needed to make a card using it. I hand cut it out and inked the edges very lightly. Used one of my Fiskar's border punches, tied on a ribbon with a flower and it was done. Very simple and easy card to make.

THESE TWO MADE MY DAY!!!!

Look at these two!! Aren't they ADORABLE! Michael dropped Mia off with me around 11am and then Steve, Lisa and Dominick came over around noon. Steve took off to house shop and Lisa and I had lunch together while the kids played so nicely together on Dominick's blanket. Mia is very gentle with him. At one point though, she did fire a rattle in his direction. Thank goodness it didn't hit him. We did get them to sit on the recliner together for a short second, so we could take a few photo's. Believe me it was rapid fire of the camera to get these shots. Having them here today sure made my day.

My Mom

This is a layout I did of my mom some time ago. After making over my blog today, I thought about this layout and thought I would post it. I guess you can tell my mom has really been on my mind lately. I sure do miss her. Her birthday is coming up April 2. She would have been 76. If you happen to be a smoker, please try and stop. My mom did stop smoking after 50 years, but it wasn't soon enough. Bless her heart, she was my best friend. Miss you mom.

Me and Sis

I made this for the "Febuly" Challenge, week #3, over at Scrapbook.com. This week we were to use Black, White and another color of choice. No others colors were to be used. I just love this photo of Dominick and Kelly and was waiting for the right layout. It's the first time I ever altered a photo. I think the frog on his sweater could have been darker, but I really had no idea what I was doing, so it came out pretty well!!!!

Love Ya

This is a layout that I did for another challenge over at Scrapbook.com. I did this one for the "Febuly" Challenge, week 2. We were to use at least one heart, one flower, something with wings, ribbon or lace, the color brown and the word LOVE. I did struggle with this one for a little while. I didn't know what photo I was going to scrap, so I started looking through my photo files and came across this one of Jake & Nga. It was just perfect. They spent Valentine's Day in San Francisco. Thanks for the great pic kids!! I love that they always upload their pic's right away, always gives me something to scrap.

I used the K&Company Que Sera Sera paper collection. I just love the look of this new line of paper. Its gorgeous!! I'm such a paper-junkie!!!
