Day 70 at 365 Cards was to use this ad for inspiration. This was a fun card to make!
I used all scraps and my buttons are from my cousin Rhonda!!

I made this layout for May's Color Challenge over at sb.com. We could only use the colors ORANGE, GREEN & YELLOW. This photo was taken in Florida last month. It was Dominick's first time in the ocean.
The quote says: Life's filled with wonder and always a joy when you share life with your little boy. I thought this quote fit this photo perfectly!!

quote from The Ultimate Guide to the Perfect Word (great book)

I made this card for my mother-in-law Jean. She has been a part of my life from the time I was 19. Her son and I are divorced, but her and I have kept a close friendship. We will be spending Mother's Day together along with all the kids and grandkids.
I was able to find the Graphic 45 paper line at a LSS that is going out of business. It was all 20% off. I've been wanting to work with it for some time.

This is my granddaughter Kelly. This photo was taken while they were in Florida last month. I couldn't resist scrapping it!!! I used Basic Grey's lime rickey paper. All of the cardstock was from my stash. I made the flower using my Marvy Uchida scallop punches. I hand cut each scallop, scrunched each one up and sewed them together with a button and thread. The buttons that I used came from my cousin Rhonda. She sends me the best buttons. (I hope you're still collecting them for me!) I did a little sewing on this one with my Janome sewing machine. Oh and I used my new EK corner punch too!!!

Day 61 at 365 Cards was to make a card using leaves! I finished up jury duty early today and stopped by an LSS on my way home and found this fabulous leaf paper by American Crafts. I also picked up these Prima flowers, plus some others!!! I also used my Marvy Uchida scallop punches an EK corner punch and a Fiskars border punch. I was punch happy today!!! Most of my button collection is from my cousin Rhonda. The brads were a gift from sb.com.
I spent all day yesterday at the courthouse and 1/2 of today. I was so glad I wasn't picked as a juror. It got down to about 5 of us left. Thank goodness they finally picked the jury before I was called to the box. The trial was going to last at least 2 weeks. How could I keep up on my cards if I was on jury duty.....LOL!!!!
Day 59 at 365 Cards was to use the sentiment.....Missing You, I Miss You, etc.

Day 55 at 365 Cards was to use a recipe provided to us by Pam. Here's the recipe we had to follow:
5x5 card (solid colored card stock - may be smooth or textured)
4x4 patterned paper (you may alter the edges if you'd like)
1 shape (circle, square, star, heart, etc.) - must be solid color
3 jewels
alpha stickers
No other items could be used!! Well........I made a little mistake! I used 3 star brads instead of jewels. I didn't realize we needed to use jewels until I was writing up this post....sorry!!! When I read the recipe, my brain saw the word brads.....LOL!!! I'm not going to change it now!!
supplies:
American cardstock
Scenic Route print paper
alphas from JoAnn
brads and chipboard star from my stash

EK border punch (I treated myself to a bunch of new punches this week!)
Day 54 at 365 Cards was to use at least one recycled element on our card. I hand cut the flower from the lid of a Staples copy paper box. That box had been out in my garage forever. I also just found a card challenge over at Paper Blooms that this card fit into today. I might just have to start checking out their challenges too!! I found a link to their site over on Rose's blog.

American cardstock
EK edge punch (just bought this one!)
button from my cousin Rhonda (she just sent me a box full of them yesterday) thanks sweetie!

Day 53 at 365 Cards was to use fruit!! I had nothing with fruit on it. I found this image on my Microsoft Picture It program. I am not thrilled with this card at all. It actually looks better in real life. I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist. I did some inking. I really don't like it!!!!! I don't think I was in the mood to make a card after work today. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better creative day for me.
